On December 13th, 2005 the Veteran Staff from Workforce Oklahoma Downtown Tulsa, Sandi (BSM), Pete , and Verdis, along with two employees of Workforce Tulsa Ellis and Connie passed out bags and gloves to the homeless veterans of Tulsa at the Iron Gate kitchen. The kitchen, sponsored by Trinity Episcopal Church at 501 S. Cincinnati, offers breakfast to homeless individuals each and every morning of the year, 365 days. One Hundred Twenty-five (125) prepackaged goody bags, with candy, snacks and personal hygiene items, given by the Broken Arrow Blue Star Mothers and One-Hundred Seventy (170) pairs of gloves, winter hats and some shoes given by individuals of Workforce Oklahoma made the "Christmas in the Streets" event day very special. The morning was cold but the smiles and the quiet "God Bless You" given by those who received these small tokens warmed our hearts. Ernest , Operations Manager of Iron Gate, and staff were extremely touched that we came to their establishment to reach the homeless and would like to personally thank Workforce Oklahoma, Workforce Tulsa, and Broken Arrow Blue Star Mothers for their thoughtfulness
