Dear Ms. Kerr,

We received 2 boxes today from the Blue Star Mothers and wanted to thank you for sending them. For this Christmas, I will have my husband home with us and therefore will be passing along your gifts to single soldiers who are not able to make it home for the holidays. We will have several single soldiers over for Christmas dinner so everyone might have the chance to spend this holiday with "family." At that time, we are going to give the 3 stockings to them.

It has been one year since my husband was injured in Iraq and 2 months since he got out of the ARMY due to his injuries. We are overjoyed to have him home (safe) with us!

Our community will once again be deployed in/around the middle of 2006. As a school teacher of military children, mom, wife and friend, I understand how this impacts a family. Thank you so very much for thinking of our soldiers!
